When it comes to preparing for a baby shower, creativity is totally a matter of perspective.
No matter if you feel as though you are not a creative person, if you are on a limited budget or if you’ve “never done that sort of thing before,” with a little planning, some common knowledge about the mother-to-be, and some free time you will be able to create a memorable baby shower experience for all involved.
You can have a theme running throughout the baby shower, an example could be Winnie the Pooh.
Which can include:-
...Baby Shower Favors...etc., etc.,
All with the Winnie the Pooh theme.
Here are some examples of themes you could have... Winnie the Pooh Snuggles and Hugs Baby Clothes Baby shower party supplies... An interesting additions can be Decorations can range from the simple to the elaborate.
Food served can also range from finger foods to a feast.
No baby shower is complete with out the ginger ale/sherbet punch and if the theme for the shower happens to be little yellow duckies, float a few bathtub ducks in the punch bowl and have a duck shaped cake.
Balloons always add a special visual effect to any room of celebration.
Arranging tables and chairs so that everyone can see each other but specifically so everyone can see the expectant mother open the gifts is something to keep in mind.
If you’re working with a low budget simply volunteer girlfriends to bake the cake, ask family members to help with the decorations and ask neighbors about a church that offers a guest hall for a reasonable donation fee.
The possibilities on a low budget can be as diverse as if you are working with a virtually unlimited budget… you just have to be more creative.
Going to a party shop and looking at things that would work well in every way but fitting into your budget only means you have to take that idea and modify it into a less costly decorating idea for your very creative baby shower..
Decorating is very simple once you decide on a theme, secure a place for the shower to take place, and know how many guests will arrive.
Invitations are an important part of the entire process.
Calling those people who have not RSVP’ed by the deadline is a courteous way to get a solid headcount for other aspects of the shower such as how many games to play, how much food to include and how much time should be allotted for the entirety of the shower.
Have fun putting together your very creative baby shower.
