How Do I Know If I Have Gestational Diabetes

How do I know if I have gestational diabetes??

Here are some answers.

Gestational Diabetes would usually occur during the last 3 months of pregnancy. but possibly earlier.

Many women with gestational diabetes have no symptoms. But there are some things to watch out for.

The main symptoms would be:

1. Extreme thirst and hunger.

2. High blood pressure.

3. Your blood sugar level is too high.

Your health care practitioner would normally do tests for Gestational Diabetes at around 24-28 weeks, But if he determines there are reasons to do the tests earlier, he may recommend doing them near the beginning of the pregnancy

Diabetes is a condition where you body does not covert sugar properly.

Some of the risks for developing Gestational Diabetes are being overweight and pregnancy over the age of thirty.

If you believe that you are suffering from any of these symptoms, contact your obstetrician.

He or she will run a test to see whether or not you have developed gestational diabetes.
